Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza! It may sound like nonsense now, but you’ll know these words by heart after you play the game. In Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, you’ll take turns flipping a card and saying one of those 5 words. If what you say matches the card you play, it’s a race to slap your hand down. If Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza sounds exciting to play, keep reading to learn all of the rules you’ll need to start!
Playing Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza
- Shuffle all of the cards and deal all of the cards out face down.
- The first player reveals a card and says “Taco.”
- Play continues with revealing cards as players say “Cat,” “Goat,” “Cheese,” and “Pizza.”
- If a player messes up the sequence of words, they lose that round.
- If a player reveals the same card they say out loud, the first player to slap the table wins the round.
- Play continues until a player runs out of cards in their draw pile.
Steps
Part 1 Part 1 of 3:Setup
-
1 Shuffle all of the cards. You only need the special deck of 64 cards that came with the game to play. Give the cards a few shuffles to mix them up really well.[1] -
2 Deal all of the cards evenly between the players. You can play the game with 2-8 players. Keep the deck face-down and deal the cards out so everyone has the same number. If you have any cards leftover, put them back in the box since you won’t use them in this game. - If you have 2, 3, 4, or 5 players, then just give everyone 12 cards instead.
-
3 Set your cards in a face-down stack in front of you. When you get your cards, don’t look at them! Just keep them in a draw pile in front of you for the rest of the game. Advertisement
Gameplay
-
1 Flip over the top card of your pile and put it in the middle of the table. The player who’s sitting to the left of the dealer starts the game and then gameplay continues clockwise around the table. Take the top card from your draw pile and turn it face-up in the middle of the table to start a central pile.[2] - When you flip the card over, do not look at it until you set it down on the table. If you noticeably peek at the card, then you’ll lose the round.
-
2 Say the next word in the sequence each time you play a card. The sequence goes “Taco,” “Cat,” “Goat,” “Cheese,” and “Pizza.” The first player always starts by saying “Taco,” even if the card they flipped has a different picture.[3] [4] - After someone says “Pizza,” start over at “Taco” again.
- If you say the wrong word in the sequence, then you lose the round.
-
3 Slap the card that was just played if it matches the word said out loud. Pay really close attention to what cards people are playing and what word they say. When the card matches the word in the sequence, try to slap your hand down on the card as fast as you can. If you’re the last person to slap the card, then you lose the round.[5] - If you slap or even just jerk your hand towards the card when it doesn't match the word, then you lose the round.
- The game is pretty fast-paced so you don’t have a lot of time to think. Try to maintain a steady rhythm as you're flipping cards and saying words until someone loses. If you hesitate and break the rhythm, then you lose the round.
-
4 Take all the cards in the middle of the table if you lose the round. Flip the central pile face-down and add the cards to the bottom of your draw pile. The player who takes the cards from the middle gets to play the first card in the new round. -
5 Start a new round after you take the cards from the middle. Flip the top card over from your draw pile and put it in the middle. Start the sequence over by saying “Taco” as soon as you play the card.[6] -
6 Complete a special action if someone plays a Gorilla, Groundhog, or Narwhal. You still have to say the right word in the sequence when you flip over one of these cards. As soon as someone flips over one of these cards, do the following: - Gorilla: Beat your chest with both of your hands, then slap the card.
- Groundhog: Knock on the table with both hands and then slap the card.
- Narwhal: Clap your hands above your head to make a horn. Then slap the card.
- The last player to do the action and slap the card loses the round.

Winning
-
1 Try to play all of the cards in your draw pile. Watch the cards and listen carefully so you can be one of the first players to slap a matching card. As long as you’re not the last person and avoid making mistakes, you’ll eventually run out of cards in your pile. - Be careful since some of the cards look pretty similar and may trick you at first glance.
-
2 Keep saying the words in sequence after you play all of your cards. Once you play all of your cards, keep listening to what everyone is saying. When it’s your turn, you won’t flip over a card but you still have to say the correct word in the sequence.[7] - If you forget it’s your turn, then you’ll take the cards in the middle and lose your advantage!
-
3 Win by slapping a card first after your draw pile runs out. Once you’re out of cards, act fast whenever there’s a matching card and word, or if there’s a Gorilla, Groundhog, or Narwhal. If you’re the first person to slap your hand down, then you automatically win![8] Advertisement
