How To Print Your Gmail Contacts - MakeUseOf

Whether it's to prevent an emergency or for a paper record, printing out a copy of your contacts can be handy. But rather than creating a separate list, it'd be far easier to print them right from your contacts list.

Luckily, you can do this with Gmail–you can download, export, or print out your contacts list. In this article, we'll show you how to print your Gmail contacts, both on desktop and using the Gmail app.

How to Print Your Gmail Contacts on Desktop

  2. Click on the Google apps grid in the top-right corner between Settings and your profile picture. Alternatively, simply go to Google Contacts.
  3. Click on Contacts on the left pane and wait for the total number of your contacts to populate.

You can also use tools like Shared Contacts to share your Google Contacts list.

  1. Open the Gmail app.

3. Tap on the printer icon and select a printer. If you’ll rather download a copy of your contacts, tap on other sharing options such as email, WhatsApp, etc.
  4. Set your printer preferences and click on Print to start printing your Gmail contacts. You’ll need to ensure that both your printer and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network or that Wi-Fi Direct is on.

However, if you have thousands of contacts, printing might be impractical. Instead, you can choose to download a copy of your contacts, you have the added option of converting the VCF file into your preferred format.

If using a different device, simply tap on the download button in your email or the Google Drive button. When you open the VCARD, you’ll be prompted to save its contents as contacts. This is also a handy way to move your contacts from an old device to a new one.
