Helpful Tips on Reheating Quiche

  • Allowing the quiche to come to room temperature prior to reheating it will help with keeping the texture of the crust and ingredients close to the original desired texture.
  • If reheating quiche in the microwave cut it into small pieces prior to reheating it. This will allow you to reheat it quicker which will help keep the crust from getting too soggy.
  • If reheating the quiche in the microwave be sure to use a microwave-safe dish. This is important and easy to forget.
  • Allow the quiche to set for a couple of minutes prior to serving it.
  • Be sure the oven is at 350 degrees prior to putting the quiche in the oven. If you allow the oven to heat up with the quiche in it, the crust may turn out soggy.

Note: The quiche should be at 165 degrees in the center. We recommend using a baking thermometer.

How to Reheat Quiche in the Microwave

While we believe that reheating quiche in the oven is the optimal choice for the tastiest quiche sometimes we just don’t have the time for that. That is when we wind up heating our quiche in the microwave.Do note that when reheating quiche in the microwave you will want to do it one slice at a time.Be careful not to overcook the quiche because it will become soggy if overheated.

  1. Set your quiche out and allow it to come to room temperature.
  2. Place a slice of quiche on a microwave-safe plate.
  3. Microwave the quiche on medium-high for 30 seconds.

If the quiche is already cooked you can freeze it for up to two months. If the quiche has not been cooked you can freeze it for up to one month.Baking a quiche prior to freezing it makes it a bit easier to handle.Make sure that your quiche has cooled to room temperature before placing it in the freezer.(Do note that you shouldn’t leave a quiche out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.)

  1. Cover the quiche with plastic wrap.
  2. Cover the top of the quiche with aluminum foil.
