How to Remove and Replace a Hunter Douglas Vignette Shade

Introduction

Sometimes a shade will need to be removed from the window for a repair, painting, or window work. This guide covers how to remove and install a Hunter Douglas Vignette Modern Roman shade.

Tools Needed

Flat-head Screwdriver

Parts Needed

None

Step 1 – Raise the shade up all of the way.

Step 2 – Locate the brackets.

• 

• The brackets are visible behind the fabric when looking underneath the shade.

Step 3 – Remove the shade from the brackets.

• Place a screwdriver on the tab located in the center of the bracket. Push up while rotating the screwdriver towards you to disengage the bracket.

Step 4 – Repeat step 3 for each bracket.

Step 5 – To remount the shade, push it straight into the brackets until it snaps into place.
