Snapchat bought Bitmoji in 2016 and since that, the app got integrated into almost all places of the Snapchat app. It is not possible to have your own picture inside the ghost icon as your profile picture. Snapchat forces you to have a Bitmoji there or you can have it empty.

The users who didn’t create a Bitmoji avatar can have their usual profile picture. But once the avatar is created, your picture is gone for good. The same goes for Snapcode.

Two Ways To Remove Bitmoji From Snapchat

In Snapchat

1. Launch the Snapchat app.
2. Tap Bitmoji at the top left corner of the camera screen.

3. Next, tap on the gear icon at the top right corner of the screen. Or select Edit Bitmoji at the top left corner and skip the next step.
4. Under My Account, select Bitmoji.
5. On the next screen, tap on Unlink My Bitmoji at the bottom.
6. Select Unlink on the dialog box to confirm.

This will unlink your bitmoji on Snapchat.

If you created your Bitmoji using the Snapchat login then it will not only be removed from Snapchat but also deleted from the Bitmoji app.

With this, your Snapchat profile picture and Snapcode won’t have Bitmoji anymore. Also, you won’t be able to add Bitmoji stickers from the option in the app. But you can always add them using the Bitmoji keyboard if your Bitmoji is not deleted from the Bitmoji app.

In Bitmoji App

Using this method will delete the bitmoji completely and thus it will automatically remove bitmoji from Snapchat.

1. Open Bitmoji app.
2. Tap on the Setting icon at the top left corner.
3. Tap My Data.
4. Select Reset Avatar.
5. Tap on Ok to confirm.

This will delete your Bitmoji avatar in the app and unlink bitmoji from your Snapchat account.
