When you’re painting around wooden surfaces, it’s difficult to avoid a few paint stains on hardwood here and there. Thankfully, removing these stains is as easy as following a few trusty steps.

1. If you have access to a heat gun, this is your best bet. Point the heat gun close to the stain – this will soften the paint.
2. Simultaneously, gently scratch the paint layers using a putty knife.
3. With a damp rag, wipe the affected area.
4. If this does not remove the spilled paint on wood floor, consider using products designed to remove paint: Goo Goo Painter’s Pal or Good Off. These products can be applied directly to the stain using a cotton swab.

Removing Wood floor Paint Stains Using Rubbing Alcohol

If you can’t seem to get your hands on a heat gun, here’s an alternative way to remove wood floor paint stains.

1. Scrape off as much paint as you can using a bladed tool.
2. Soak a household rag in rubbing alcohol.
3. Apply rag directly to stain and rub until stain is not visible.
