Prints play a huge role when you’re shopping for clothes. Sometimes the main reason why we’ll buy a piece of clothing is that we like their printed pics or logos, but sometimes it’s the opposite. If we stop loving the print or it starts to fade away, it doesn’t mean that we need to throw out the clothes immediately, we can just try removing it instead.
We at 5-Minute Crafts picked the best ways to remove the print from shirts.
1. Iron and peel the clothes.

Step 1: Place a bath towel on a flat work surface and lay the T-shirt onto the towel with the printed side facing up.
Step 2: Place a sheet of wax paper over the print.
Step 3: Start ironing on the high/cotton setting.
Step 4: Peel the print with your nails or use a knife.
2. Use nail polish remover or acetone.

Step 1: Soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover.
Step 2: Rub the printed area gently to ensure the chemical won’t harm the fabric.
Step 3: Keep rubbing the cotton ball over more of the print.
Step 4: Try to peel away the design.
3. Use a sugar scrub.

Step 1: Put some sugar on the design.
Step 2: Rub it with an old cloth.
Step 3: Keep rubbing until the movement strips away the print. Scrape off any residue with your nails.
Step 4: Wash the T-shirt.
❗ Keep in mind that this option works best if your design is old and the ink has already faded or cracked. Because of this, you will achieve better results.
4. Do a cold water rinse.

❗ This technique only works if you have a freshly printed design.
Step 1: Put the shirt through a cold rinse in the washing machine, or try rinsing it with your hands in cold water.
Step 2: Make sure you don’t use warm water because the heat will set the ink and the print will harden. If the cold water technique works, peel the print.
Step 3: Wash the shirt with warm water and leave it to air-dry.
5. Use plastisol remover.

Step 1: Soak a cotton ball with plastisol remover. Rub the cotton directly onto the print from which you are trying to remove the plastisol ink.
Step 2: Spray a thin layer of plastisol ink remover on the design and leave it for 30 minutes.
Step 3: Take a soft-bristled brush or soft cloth and brush away the plastisol ink. If needed, apply a second coat of plastisol remover and brush again.
Step 4: Wash the shirt under cold water once the ink is removed.
6. Use a baking soda paste.

Step 1: Take baking soda and mix it with some warm water to create a paste.
Step 2: Apply the paste to the print.

Step 3: Scrub the area.
Step 4: Wash the shirt.
Step 5: Peel off the print’s remains.
Before performing any of these methods, keep in mind that you can’t expect an instant and perfect result. Not every method works for every piece of clothing. You need to be careful about what method you chose.Which one of the listed options do you find the most effective? Have you tried them before?
