If you often park in a garage or driveway, have a workshop with a concrete floor, or have outdoor furniture made from metal, chances are at some stage, you’ll see a rust stain on the concrete that seems impossible to get out.

Rust is difficult at the best of times, but removing rust from concrete can be especially challenging, as you’re often trying to tackle a large area. If you need to get rid of rust from concrete, your best bet is to use some WD-40 Multi-Use Product, and some elbow grease.

WD-40 is specially formulated to be a penetrant, so when you spray it on a rusted surface, it gets to work right away by getting under the rust. When cleaning a large surface area, make sure you use the wide area nozzle and spray the surface generously. Then, scrub with something abrasive to really lift the stain away. You may need to re-apply and repeat the process, but you’ll soon discover a clean concrete surface once the residue has been washed away.
