Are you concerned about a YouTube video you've stumbled upon? If you think you've found a video that violates their guidelines and you want to report it, it only takes a few clicks. When a YouTube video is reported, it will be reviewed for Community Guidelines violations. If there's a violation, the video will be taken down. Here's how to report a video on YouTube using your computer, iPhone, iPad, or Android.

1 Open the YouTube app. This looks like a white play button in a red box.
If you aren't already logged in, do so now. You must be logged into a YouTube account to report inappropriate content.
2 Navigate to the video you want to report. You can use the search bar to find a specific video or enter a URL. Advertisement
3 Tap Report. This is below the YouTube handle; you may need to tap and drag the row of icons to see it. It's next to Save.[1]XResearch source
Alternatively, open the video in full-screen view, and then tap the three-dots icon at the bottom. Tap Report.
4 Select a reason and tap Report. If the video violates specific guidelines, you can select it here. Once you've chosen a reason, tap Report to confirm, and the video will be reported. You can report a video for:
Sexual content
Violent or repulsive content
Hateful or abusive content
Harassment or bullying
Harmful or dangerous acts
Misinformation
Child abuse
Promotes terrorism
Spam or misleading
Legal issue
Captions issue

1 Go to https://www.youtube.com/ in a web browser. You can use any browser.
If you aren't already logged in, do so now. You must be logged into a YouTube account to report inappropriate content.
2 Navigate to the video you want to report. You can use the search bar to find a specific video or enter a URL in the address bar.
3 Click ••• . You can find this underneath the video, next to Clip.
A pop-up window will open.
4 Click Report. This is the second option.
5 Select a reason and click Report. If the video violates specific guidelines, you can select it here. Once you've chosen a reason, click Report to confirm. The video will be reported. You can report a video for:
Sexual content
Violent or repulsive content
Hateful or abusive content
Harassment or bullying
Harmful or dangerous acts
Misinformation
Child abuse
Promotes terrorism
Spam or misleading
