Performing a Factory Reset on Netgear Routers
To reset a Netgear router, find the Reset button on the back. Insert a bent paper clip into the hole. Press and hold the button for about 15-20 seconds. Release the reset button when the power light begins to blink.

- 1 Locate the buttons on the side of the router labeled "Wireless" and "WPS."[5]
- 2 Press and hold the "Wireless" and "WPS" buttons simultaneously for 6 seconds. The power LED will blink red.
- 3 Release the buttons. The router will reboot and the power LED will be solid.
