The Sony Bravia is relatively easy to reset using either a power cycle method or a factory reset that returns the TV to the original default settings. Factory reset a Sony Bravia when you are reselling the TV or giving it to another person. The full reset removes saved passwords and deletes apps and other aftermarket add-ons. A power cycle is better for minor fixes such as freezing, slow functionality from having too many apps open, or something else bogging down the system. Factory Reset

The Sony Bravia runs on the Android system. To run a factory reset, select the "Home" button on your remote. Select "Settings" followed by "Storage & Reset," "Factory data reset," "Erase everything" and lastly, "Yes." You can also perform a forced factory reset that removes all apps and everything in the TV memory relating to you and your history. To do this, unplug the TV. Hold down the "Power" and "Down" buttons at the same time and plug the power back into the outlet while holding the buttons for 30 seconds. When a green LED light comes on, release the buttons. Wait while the TV reboots multiple times and runs through the reset cycle. The original Welcome screen appears when the process is complete.
