How To Restore Bent False Eyelashes - LEAFtv

Bent false eyelashes are easy to straighten, and save money and the time of going to buy a new pair. You must be very gentle when working to repair false eyelashes, as they are very fragile and individual eyelashes flake off easily.

How to Restore Bent False Eyelashes

Grab the base of the eyelashes, where the adhesive is applied and where the eyelash meets your eyelid, with your thumb and forefinger. If your hands are too large, use tweezers to grasp each end of the eyelash by holding the tweezers between your thumb and forefinger.

Pull the ends of the eyelashes apart gently, moving your hands away from each other horizontally, parallel to the floor. If the eyelashes start to tear, stop immediately and re-grip the eyelashes above the tear line. Most likely, you will still be able to use eyelashes as long as the tear is along the base and does not spread far enough to ruin the adhesive, as well. Having tweezers in the case of a tear is especially useful.

Lay the straightened eyelash with the adhesive side facing the ceiling. Dab the damp, hot cloth over the eyelash. This acts as an "iron," setting the eyelash straight.

The hot cloth may damage the adhesive property of the eyelash, in which case you may need to apply a bit more adhesive before applying the eyelashes.
