What is a Blunt?

A classic blunt is a roll of cannabis inside of cigar or blunt wrap of your choosing. When smoked, they create an elevated effect due to the tobacco in the leaf/wrap.

In comparison to a joint, blunts are usually larger and burn slow, making it last longer. You do not need to decarb your weed for this.

What You Need to Roll a Blunt

What you’ll need

• 1-2 grams of Weed
• Blunt or Blunt Wrap
• Filter/Crutch

Blunt Rolling Steps

Step 1: Grind Weed

Remember to grind your weed to a nice, fluffy consistency that will fill the blunt with some breathing room.

Step 2: Gut Blunt

Cut at seam from end to end, empty tobacco leaving only the leaf. Toss the guts.

Step 3: Fill Blunt with Ground Bud

Be generous, not extra; and use a filter as a crutch to the blunt.

Step 4: Begin your Roll

With your thumb nails facing you, use your thumbs to push the weed down in the blunt. Take your time to form the weed in the blunt by using your thumbs to push and fold on the bottom leaf closest to you, and continue by folding it under the top leaf.

Step 5: Squeeze and Tuck

Starting from one end (or the end with the filter), squeeze and push down weed, use thumbs to tuck paper from one end to the other…Remember, it helps when its fluffy, ground-up bud.

Step 6: Lick Blunt like a Joint

That’s right, lick (or use water if you’re sharing blunts and grossed out. But remember your saliva is an adhesive and will always be the most important and natural glue.)

Start to lick the top layer of the leaf as you tuck the lower layer under. Sort of like licking the glue of a stuffed envelope and sealing it without letting anything escape.

Again, continuing from the same end, tuck lower layer and stick top layer to rolled paper. Working your way down to the other end doing the same…tuck and stuff bud, secure flap top leaf over.

Step 7: Lick and Roll

Continue to lick as you go…Secure top flap rolled around bottom flaps. To finish seal, smooth out edges.

Step 8: Dry Time

You’re just about done, but before blazing, use lighter to gently dry damp blunt.

Step 9: Just Blaze

That’s it. You’ve put in the work. Now is the time to get lifted from the fruits of your labor. Grab a cocktail, kick up your feet, spark your blunt, and get cross faded. This is the way. Learning how to roll a blunt takes time and practice. Keep at it and don’t give up.
