Do you want to save a Facebook photo so you can view it offline? It's easy to download pictures from Facebook using the mobile app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad, as well as on your computer. This wikiHow article teaches you the best ways to save Facebook pictures onto your computer, phone, or tablet.

1 Open the Facebook app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad. This will open your Feed if you're logged into Facebook. - If you're not already logged in, enter your email address or phone number and password to do so now.

2 Go to the picture that you want to download. Scroll through your Feed until you find the photo that you want to download, or go to the profile of the person who posted the photo to find it. You can also save photos you posted. - You cannot save cover photos on Facebook.
- You can go to a person's profile by tapping the search bar at the top, typing in the person's name, tapping their name in the drop-down menu, and tapping their profile in the results.

3 Tap the picture. This will expand the photo in full-view. -
4 Tap ••• (iOS) or ⋮ (Android). This is at the top-right corner of the post. A pop-up menu will open. -
5 Tap Save Photo or Save to phone. It's at the top of the pop-up menu. Doing so will save the photo onto your phone or tablet.[1] - You may need to allow Facebook permission to save photos to your device.
- Keep in mind that photos that were uploaded with Private settings cannot be downloaded.

1 Go to the Facebook website in your browser. This will open the Feed if you're logged into your Facebook account. - If you aren't logged into your Facebook account, enter your email address (or phone number) and password to log in.

2 Go to the picture that you want to download. Scroll through your Feed until you find the photo that you want to download, or go to the profile of the person who posted the photo to find it. - You can go to a person's profile by clicking the search bar at the top of the Facebook page, typing in the person's name, clicking their name in the drop-down menu, and clicking their profile in the results.
- You can also save photos from your own profile.

3 Click the picture. This will open the picture so you can see it as well as the accompanying post. -
4 Click … . This three-dot menu option is on the right side of your screen, next to the poster's name.[2] - Alternatively, right-click the image (or Ctrl-click, if you’re on a Mac with no right mouse button) and select Save image as…..
- Keep in mind that photos that were uploaded with Private settings cannot be downloaded.

5 Click Download. It's next to the "Download" icon near the middle of the menu.[3] - Your file manager will open (Finder for Mac and File Explorer for Windows), so you'll first have to select a save location and then click OK.
- Your browser's default download location is the Downloads folder.
- View this downloaded image by double-clicking it from the file manager.

Saving All Your Photos

1 Navigate to your Accounts Center. Since you can't download photos in bulk, you'll need to request a download of your Facebook information.[4] - Keep in mind this only applies to your own photos and posts.
- It's best to do this on a computer with adequate storage since the file can be large.
- To access the Accounts Center, click your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen and navigate to Settings & privacy > Settings > See more in Accounts Center.

2 Select Your information and permissions. You can find this underneath the Account settings header in the left-hand menu bar. -
3 Select Download your information. This is the second option. -
4 Select Download or transfer information. This is the bubble above Current Activity and Scheduled. -
5 Select Specific types of information. This is the second option. -
6 Select Select all next to "Your Facebook activity". This includes your posts and messages. If you only want to download your photos, check the box for Posts only. -
7 Select Next. This is at the bottom. -
8 Select a download option. You can choose: Download to device or Transfer to a destination. -
9 Select "Date range" and choose "All time". If you only want photos from a certain range, select the appropriate range instead, and then select Save. -
10 Select Create files. This may take a while depending on the amount of posts and photos you have. Once finished, you can usually find your file in your device's Downloads folder. Advertisement
