This wikiHow teaches you how to set an alarm on your Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet using the clock app. Because there are different versions of the clock app, these steps may vary.
Steps
-
1 Tap the apps button on the home screen. It's the button made of several squares at the bottom of the screen. You'll usually find it at the center or far-right of the screen's bottom. -
2 Tap Clock. It's the app with the white clock icon. Advertisement -
3 Click +. It's in a green circle at the bottom-right corner of the screen. This brings you to the new alarm creation screen. -
4 Select a date. The default date should say “Tomorrow,” along with tomorrow's date. You'll have the option to make this alarm go off on certain days of the week shortly. -
5 Drag the numeric sliders to select a time. Swipe each number up or down until the correct time appears in green. -
6 Select AM or PM. Just as you did with the numeric sliders, do the same with the AM and PM option. Make sure the correct option appears in green. -
7 Select the days you want the alarm to ring. Tap each day of the week under “Repeat” until all of the days you want are highlighted. -
8 Tap Alarm name to name the alarm. This is useful if you want to create several different alarms for different purposes, such as “Work alarm” or “Weekend alarm.” -
9 Tap Snooze to manage your Snooze settings. This is the amount of extra time you'll have after pressing the Snooze button before the alarm sounds again. -
10 Tap Alarm tone and volume to adjust the alarm's sound. You'll be able to choose from several different ringtones. Be sure to choose one that is loud enough to wake you up. -
11 Tap Save. It's at the top-right corner of the screen. The alarm will now ring at the selected time and date with the selected sound. Advertisement
