How To Share A Reel From Instagram To Facebook With Just One Tap
Maybe your like
Meta has made it easier to post Reels across its platforms with a one-tap sharing option that lets users cross-post Instagram Reels to their Facebook account. While Facebook Reels have been around for a while now, users previously needed to upload Reels separately on Instagram and Facebook. With the new cross-posting feature, it's easy to share Reels to both platforms with a few taps.
Cross-posting requires users to connect their Instagram and Facebook accounts in Accounts Center. To begin, users first need to record a Reel. Before sharing it on Instagram, tap 'Share to Facebook.' Tap on the toggle next to the Facebook account, and choose whether to share all future Reels or just the current one. To do the former, turn on the toggle next to 'Reels' under 'Automatically Share.' Once automatic sharing to Facebook is set up, users will be able to cross-post to both platforms just by tapping the 'Share' button after recording the Reel on Instagram.

Enable One-Tap Reel Sharing To Facebook
There's also a way to set up automatic sharing to Facebook from a user profile. To do this, tap the profile picture in the bottom right corner of the Instagram app, tap the hamburger menu button in the top right and tap 'Settings.' Tap 'Accounts Center' and select the relevant Instagram and Facebook accounts. Under 'Automatically Share,' tap 'Set up' or turn on the toggle next to 'Reels.' It's worth noting that users can only cross-post Reels using the Instagram app for Android and iPhone.
If a user hasn't selected their default audience for Reels on Facebook, the setting used for Instagram will automatically be applied. This means that if a user has a public profile on Instagram, Reels shared on Facebook will be available for anyone to see. On the other hand, a private Instagram account will only show Reels to Facebook friends.
Instagram also notes that if a Reel is shared publicly on Facebook, other users will be able to use the original audio. Remixing will also be allowed on Facebook if it's enabled on Instagram. For users who have different audiences on Facebook and Instagram, it's worth going into settings and making any required changes before enabling cross-posting for Reels.
Can You Share An Instagram Reel To Facebook After Posting?
While Instagram makes it easy to cross-post Reels to Facebook while they're being shared for the first time, it's not possible to do this after the Reel has been posted. The Share button next to the Instagram Reel does show the option to post on Facebook, but this will share the Reel to the profile page, and not to Facebook Reels.

To do this, tap the three dots next to the Instagram Reel and select 'Save to camera roll' or 'Save to your device.' This will download the Reel to the phone's gallery. Now, open Facebook and upload the Reel manually. While this isn't an ideal solution, it's the easiest way to share an Instagram Reel to Facebook after posting.
