Steps

1. 1 Make sure you are on single player and the difficulty is any mode other than peaceful.
   • Make sure you have cheats enabled so you can use commands to summon this mob. If needed, open the world to LAN and enable cheats.
   • Creative mode is recommended as this mob is hostile, though it does not have an AI for attack and merely causes contact damage when the legs are walked into.
2. 2 Go to chat by clicking the T character on the keyboard.
   • If you have modified your controls, you may have a different key to open chat.
   • You can also press / to open up the in-game command-line.

3. 3 Obtain a command block by using the /give command: /give command_block
4. 4 Find your co-ordinates for the command.
   • To find your co-ordinates, press Fn and F3 to open the debug screen. It should say x: y: z: on the left side of your screen. Type the coordinates in the command block.
   • On Windows, simply pressing F3 will display the debug screen.
   • You can also type ~ ~ ~ in place of set co-ordinates. This will execute the command using the position you currently occupy.
5. 5 Right click the command block to open the interface. Click the command input bar, then type: /summon minecraft:giant <x co-ordinate> <y co-ordinate> <z co-ordinate>.
   • Remember to hit Done to save the command.
6. 6 Run the command and summon the giant.
   • Command blocks require a redstone charge to activate, such as a lever or button.
   • This command can also be run through the standard command-line in the chat bar.
