When it comes to animals in the game, you can tame most of them, and either has them as pets or breed them to help build out your farm. In this article, we’re taking a look at how to tame a Panda in Minecraft.

How to find and tame Pandas in Minecraft?

A Panda in Minecraft is a neutral mob that sits around and lazes all day. Minecraft Pandas also have unique personalities, including normal pandas or brown ones.

To tame a panda, you’re going to have to find one. You can do this either by using the /spawn panda command (requires cheats to be enabled), or you can find them in either a Bamboo Jungle or Jungle Biome.

Remember that Pandas are a rare spawn in the Jungle Biome, so you’ll have better luck finding them in a Bamboo Jungle. They are often found in groups of two or three.

Once you’ve found a Panda, follow these steps to tame the animal.

Step 1: Feed the Panda with either bamboo or cakes. Since Pandas are often found around bamboo, it’ll be easier to procure. You can also drop the bamboo in front of them, and they’ll pick it up and eat it themselves. Do keep in mind that you’ll have to do this several times.

Step 2: As soon as you see hearts show up on the Panda, you’ve got it tamed.

The Panda will follow you around for as long as you have bamboo in your hand. However, since they are pretty lazy in the game, chances are they’ll stay where you left them nonetheless.

Regardless, you can bring a tamed Panda back to your base by holding a bamboo stick in your hand. Once you’ve got them back, you can keep them inside a wooden fence and mate them if you want. Just make sure you plant some bamboo around.
