One thing that all spirits ask me to tell their loved ones is to ‘speak out loud’. When we think and feel about our lost ones, we send an electro-magnetic energy field out into the universe. This field is what spirit can recognise and their energy is pulled to you. They know you are thinking/feeling about them, but they don’t know what it is you are thinking and feeling.

So, next time you are missing them or asking them for guidance, try speaking it out loud. This way your loved one will understand fully and if the energy is right, they will attempt to respond via a message you can recognise.

If your intention is to try to communicate as often as possible then you could do these four things to promote the chances of an encounter:

1. Electronics: use electric frequencies so having a space that is dense in electrical appliances, with power switched on, will create more usable energy for your loved ones to harness and transmute into ‘signs and symbols’

2. Meditation: Deep, advanced meditation will alter your consciousness and lift your vibration to a space that Spirit can communicate. If you are a seasoned meditator then you could always attempt a few minutes at the end of your meditation by simply asking for a specific person in mind to come through. This may not happen the first few times but it’s worth a try! Not everyone can accomplish this though so don’t put too much pressure on yourself, or your loved ones.

3. Keepsakes: Items that belonged to your loved ones hold their residual energy and are a great way to attract them. If you have any jewellery, watches, photographs or handwritten notes, then bring these items out and spend time connecting to them. Hold them, wear them and read them (out loud). Ask for your loved ones to help you recognise their presence. Remember to keep an open mind about how they show you.

4. Set the table: It’s also an idea to ‘set the table’ or make a cup of tea and leave it out for your loved one. If it’s a child, then leaving their favourite toy or blankie out where you can monitor its movement is ideal. Ask your loved one to show you they are there by interacting with any of the items.
