And not just any bow -- a Tiffany bow, tied without a knot so it slips off the box with one simply pull.

"It's all part of the presentation," says Cathy Elward, Tiffany & Co.'s central region vice president. "It makes opening the gift even more special; it makes it an event."

Here's how to do it:

1. Start with a ribbon long enough to go around the box about three times. Drape it across the center of the box, leaving at least a box’s length of ribbon at the bottom, and hold with your thumb.

2. Wrap long end of ribbon around the box once and hold with your thumb.

3. Fold the long end over your thumb to go around the side of the box.

4. Wrap the box once, then make a U-turn and tuck the ribbon under both pieces still under your thumb.

5. Hold both ends of the ribbon and tighten/straighten the crisscross so it’s in the center of the box. Make a bunny ear, wrap it around, tuck through the loop -- just like when tying your shoes.

6. Adjust the bow until it’s perfect, then snip the ends of the ribbon.
