You will need to put the bluetooth device back into discovery mode for the iPhone to see it. Follow the manufacturers instructions for the device to place it into discovery mode. Reply

Thanks for trying to help but I just did a Reset Network Settings as what I found in other similar threads and the devices are able to see each other again. Reply

When the iPhone is told to forget a device, it just clears it from the memory. Try and turn the bluetooth off on the phone and back on again. It will not "ignore" the device. One of those should do it, or a reset on the phone before trying again. I've used "forget this device" a number of times when testing particular bluetooth headsets for numerous phones. They will appear again as I stated. Reply

Try altering the order that you turn on the bluetooth settings. First try to turn on the bluetooth on the phone and then turn on the bluetooth discover mode on the device. If that doesn't seem to work, then after turning them both off, turn the discover mode on the device first, and then turn on the bluetooth on the phone. They should be seeing each other. Reply

It is already on discoverable mode, but iPhone was set to forget that device. So, I presume iPhone ignores that discoverable bluetooth device from that point on and which is why the bluetooth device (my macbook pro) is not listed in the discovered devices on iPhone. My question was how to undo that. Reply

Hmm strange. I've turned the iPhone off then on (and bluetooth as well) and it still can't see my computer anymore. Reply
