This Genshin Impact Wiki guide details everything you need to know about unlocking the Formation Estate. Formation Estate is a hidden domain in Yashiori Island, Inazuma that the players need to unlock before delving in and finding treasures. In short, domains are dungeons filled with strong enemies that might catch you off-guard at first. But as you clear more and more domains, you'll get a feel of it and that should get you up and running!

How to Unlock Formation Estate

Formation Estate can be unlocked by lighting up the torches near the machine cube. However, you can't light up the torches in Yashiori Island with the persistent rain that's plaguing the area. So, you need to do the world quest Orobashi's Legacy to get the rain to stop. After finishing Orobashi's Legacy, simply light up the torches around the locked machine cube and it should be unlocked.

There's a theory that you should be able to unlock Formation Estate without doing Orobashi's Legacy. We've tried to do this by trying to light up all the torches at the same time in a friend's world, but we've failed. Pyro applications to the torches aren't enough to light it up alone. We needed at least 2 Bennets to light up a single torch and the fire doesn't stay for long as it's being extinguished quickly by the rain.

However, we found that Klee could light a torch alone with her mines and attacks by bombarding it all at once while her mines are exploding. So, in theory, 4 Klees should be able to light up the torches. Anything after that, such as the unlocking of the cube is all hypothetical.

Formation Estate Rewards

Formation Estate gives decent rewards for the difficulty of the dungeon. Inside the dungeon, you'd be greeted by two samurais with their blades. Defeat them and there would be waves of enemies next, but they're much weaker than the samurais.

The rewards for this domain are:

• 40 Primogems
• Adventurer's Experience x 500
• 5 Electro Sigil
• 1 Hopeful Heard (Artifact)
• 2 Guide to Light
• 3 Hero's Wit
• 5 Mystic Enhancement Ore
• 30,000 Mora
