Project K

To unlock K.K. Slider, you need to reach a 3-star island rating. To do this, you must have plenty of decorations on your island, including flowers and DIY furniture, and also have a minimum of 8 villagers on your island. For information on how to decorate your island to achieve a 3-star island rating, click here. Once you have 8 villagers and a decently decorated island, talk to Isabelle about your island evaluation. If you have a 3-star rating, this will trigger a conversation about K.K. Slider coming to your island.

Inviting K.K. Slider

When Nook hears of the rating, he invites K.K. Slider to play on your island! Unless there is an event occuring the following day, K.K. Slider will come to your island to play a concert.

K.K Concert

When you first log into the game the day after you reach 3-star island rating, you’ll be taken straight to the concert following Isabelle’s island-wide broadcast.

K.K. plays the song Welcome Horizons and it rolls into credits. The song is recognisable as the Animal Crossing: New Horizons theme song.

The K.K. Slider concerts also doubles as a credit sequence.

Once K.K. Slider plays the first concert, he will play at your island every saturday from 6pm, where you can request that he plays any song he’s written. Inviting K.K. Slider is important because this is how you unlock the Island Designer App which enables you to terraform and add pathing to your island.
