The long-awaited trilogy fight between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin is set for Saturday, September 17 (9/17/2022). After four years since their controversial clash, the pair will meet in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main fight card will be streamed live on DAZN at 11 p.m. ET.

Their first fight in 2017 drew one of the highest live gates in the history of boxing, according to ESPN. The pair battled to a split draw that had many watchers feel that Golovkin had done enough to win the match.

The two rematched in 2018 with many believing Golovkin deserved the winning title, but Alvarez had his hand raised at the end. It was Alvarez who ultimately rose to victory to claim the WBA and WBC middleweight titles.
