How To Watch Chris Pratt's The Tomorrow War Online - Digital Spy

Chris Pratt has become synonymous with huge blockbuster action films. From Jurassic World to Guardians of the Galaxy, he's no stranger to fighting bad guys. But The Tomorrow War differs from his other films in one big way — it's a standalone, totally original idea.

The movie begins when time travellers from the year 2051 arrive smack bang in the middle of a world-cup match to deliver an urgent message: the future is fighting a war with aliens, and losing.

The only hope for humankind's survival is for the army to recruit soldiers from the present day and bring them to the future. Dan Forester (Pratt), determined to save the future for his daughter, joins up with his estranged father (JK Simmons) to save the world.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Pratt revealed that was what drew him to the role. Despite his belief in the uniqueness of the project, however, the global health crisis resulted in the movie, once-destined for cinema screens, being taken off the schedule.

Then it was announced that The Tomorrow War would be exclusively available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.

And while this isn't the ideal viewing experience Pratt had in mind, he advocates for making it as cinematic as possible: "Turn up the volume as loud as you can and watch on the biggest screen you can and really just allow yourself to be immersed in the story because that's the intention. That was always the intention."

How to watch The Tomorrow War

The Tomorrow War is available now on Amazon Prime Video. That means that if you want to watch, you'll need an Amazon Prime account.
