"Inventing Anna" premiered exclusively on Netflix on February 11. The limited series stars Julia Garner as Anna Delvey (also known as Anna Sorokin), the fake heiress who worked her way up the New York City social scene, defrauding banks, hotels, and people in the process. The series comes from Shonda Rhimes, who also produces the Netflix hit "Bridgerton."

"Inventing Anna" is inspired by "How Anna Delvey Tricked New York's Party People," a New York Magazine story from 2018 by Jessica Pressler. The article helped uncover Delvey's double life and crimes. A character inspired by Pressler will be played by Anna Chlumsky. The show also stars Katie Lowes, Laverne Cox, Alexis Floyd, Arian Moayed, Anders Holm, Anna Deveare Smith, Jeff Perry, and Terry Kinney.

Early reviews of "Inventing Anna" are mixed but mostly positive. Ahead of its premiere, the series holds a "63% Fresh" rating on review-aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

How to watch 'Inventing Anna'

You can now watch "Inventing Anna" exclusively on Netflix. All nine episodes of the limited series became available to stream on February 11.

Netflix begins at $10 a month for its basic plan, which allows standard definition streaming on one device at a time. The standard plan, for $15.49 a month, supports HD streaming and two devices at once, while the premium plan ($20 a month) allows four devices to stream at once and increases streaming quality to Ultra HD where available.

Netflix's app is supported on every major connected device, including media players, Android and Apple phones, and smart TVs.
