21 Jul, 2019 @ 5:57pm How worth is OP 10? Palyed alot at 72 op8 with every character testing builds and running map to be sure my advice wasnt just drunken ramblings. But all around i like op0 and if i want a challenge then i set it up to op 4 or 5 and play with 80 gear. And with no change in drop rates are op levels sonething I should venture into again? < > Showing 1-9 of 9 comments

21 Jul, 2019 @ 8:16pm The game is as tough as one makes it. That includes what level you have fun playing at. If you find your sweet spot is OP5 or 6, then that's where you should play. Too many players feel the urge to play at max level, but in doing so need to rely on gear or Sal, things that really narrow your play experience. There's no new content to see if playing at OP10 vs OP1, or 72 or 61 for that matter.Playing at a lower level can afford you opportunities that you wouldn't have access to when playing at higher levels. You aren't nearly as gear constrained, whether that be into a particular toon, build, or gear set. This, to me, is a huge win.The difference between OP6 and OP10 is one of degree of difficulty. Since the new update, I've found that playing solo at OP10 takes more care (as expected) than playing at OP8. I was actually pleasantly surprised with this as my initial reaction after April's update was that the game was easier. I've since learned that baddies hit harder, and their shields are much harder to take down. Even my old standby for shield-depletion, the Thunderball Fists, isn't really as effective on some baddies at OP10 as it was at OP8. It took me a bit to get used to this. For years now I'd run the Peak solo at OP8 with Maya and Axton, where I'd see a success rate of maybe 75% with Maya, a little lower with Axton. After the recent update, once I levelled to L88 with Maya I used my same gear (regular Bee, Neutral Evil Cleric/Binder, Jakobs AR, sniper, Rubi, Quad and periodically a Hornet,Sandhawk, and Spitter). It took me quite a few attempts over a three day period to stand on OMGWTH's loot pile to reach OP9. Actually died to it three times which I found....interesting. But in that time I think I adjusted to the increased difficulty spike as my next run from OP9 to 10 took three attempts before I was successful on the fourth. All this to say that you can adjust to the increased difficulty - if you want the challenge. #5

I completely agree: people should feel free and comfortable about playing the games they want to play, the way they want to play them, at the level they enjoy. #7
