- Html codes how? neocities? site, th, or otherwise
I've only used ones by other people for my profile and a lot of them are nice so this is more so if anyone that does that knows a way to help.
do any of you know of visual videos, images and text that can help me with this type of coding for user, profile codes, and anything else?
Html has codes people add to there profile warnings/user warnings/character warnings and the user/character. plus a lot of others.
is there a list of all of the difference ones html has? how y'all actually edit it when you make it and get it working. that kinda thing. toyhouse has link codes where you type something else in one part then in the other is a link and same with the spoilers one.
like how do you get the visuals for the codes you make like that in the first place, what stuff works when doing one and how do you code it to work and edit its placement without it breaking. what html code use doesn't work?
for neocities and sites like it with html how does coding work? especially to not break it cause I'm not sure I'll break something or know how to make it look the way I like and work.
I'm not sure my question makes any since and it'll probably help if anyone could dm my discord or something. I still want to use carrd for my site and all but doing one with html seems challenging and I'm not sure a lot of the difference threads on toyhouse here I understand at all.
I'm not sure if I'm making any sense here in the slightest so if I can I'll try to clarify here. my coding know how is not there so I don't understand how this works and I don't think the pinned threads seem of help to me, at least in general.
as I mentioned in the above there is different links, code, and such that toyhouse has for html and html that isn't just toyhouse that I want to figure out.
I need a way I can still edit it in case if I don't like a way it looks without breaking it. HTML coding you can add pages to and places to images, is there a way I can add a image without uploading it to somewhere else when doing a code? as for toyhouse you need it like that but what about for your own site?
3 years, 8 months agoThe important thing to note is that HTML is only a markup language. CSS is what you have to worry about when making things pretty.
I don't know of any HTML videos but there's a lot of really cool interactive things on w3 schools. When I wanted to refresh my html knowledge I did everything on the left side up to IDs, which is only about two dozen pages. It's also good to know CSS when doing inline formatting, but what is and isn't allowed here is kind of sporadic so I can't offer a good chunk. I'd go up through Align, then poke around the Advanced sections with Colors.
The big thing Toyhouse has is Bootstrap. 95% of the basic tutorial section could be useful with layouts. All of it would be useful if you install Bootstrap onto your own personal site (neocities?). I was able to build a functioning website with HTML + really really rusty CSS + Boostrap in a couple months. And some help from Avistella for something I struggled with but didn't necessarily need, because I don't know Javascript.

There is technically no difference between character, user, or folder HTML other than where the person intends on putting them. You can easily put user HTML in a character or folder and rewrite the info to make it appropriate for that section. You can post it in threads too, actually.

I sketch things out beforehand, lol. All HTML works, arguably, but Javascript doesn't here, and some classes are blacklisted that could be abused in some way. Again, most of the working stuff I listed already.

Neocities you gotta do from scratch. They allow any kind of HTML/CSS/Javascript combo as long as it doesn't break ToS. They won't allow sound or video uploads unless you're paying for space, just to prevent free-host-piracy. It's way more flexible than anything you can do on TH but you gotta write it all yourself.

All images MUST be uploaded somewhere. TH you can use your own character galleries (don't just upload random crap tho), discord, imgur, imgbb, or whatever kind of permahost. Neocities gives you your own space to upload images and stuff. You get about a GB to work with, 500GB if you paid. You can also upload html5 games, music, videos, zips, and whatever on a paid account too. I use discord to host a couple random music things I made, at least until I feel like I need more space anyway. I would not use neocities to hotlink to TH accounts, however, since they can limit your bandwidth use.

Oh, so it doesn't get lost in an edit, these are specific to Neocities or other personal site coding, but https://sadgrl.online/webmastery/html-css-help.html
