HTML <td> Tag The HTML <td> tag represents a data cell (or table data) in an HTML table.
The <td> element is used with the <table> element (and <tr> element) to allow data to be presented in the table.
Syntax
The <td> tag is written as <td></td> with the table data inserted between the start and end tags.
The <td> tag must be a child of a <tr> tag.
Like this:
<table>
<tr>
<td>Cell 1</td>
<td>Cell 2</td>
</tr>
</table> Example
<style>
table, td, th {
border: 1px solid black;
}
</style>
<table>
<tr>
<th>Header 1</th>
<th>Header 2</th>
<th>Header 3</th>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Cell 1</td>
<td>Cell 2</td>

The <td> element accepts the following attributes.
Attribute Description colspan Specifies the number of columns the current cell spans across. rowspan Specifies the number of rows the current cell spans across. headers Specifies a space-separated list of header cells that contain information about this cell. The value needs to correspond with the id of the header cell (which is set using the id attribute). This attribute is useful for non-visual browsers.
