Based on the manga series created by Yoshihiro Togashi, HUNTER X HUNTER is an anime series about a young boy's quest to follow in his father's footsteps. Gon wants to become a Hunter like his father, who left him and his mother when he was very young. He is passionate about the work, and has the potential to be good at it. But to become a Hunter he must pass the difficult and risky Hunter Qualification Examination. As Gon sets sail towards the remote examination site, he meets Kurapika and Leorio, two applicants who immediately demonstrate that they, too, have the necessary talent and bravery to pass the test. The journey is hard, but for Gon it's also an adventure, and one that will bring him closer to his dad.
