I am puzzled knowing that people hate Boruto cause he's the main protagonist and that he doesn't receive as much attention from Naruto as he should. I think that this anime is not better than Naruto and Naruto Shippuden. I also think that the villains are also lame. But I am mad when people say "OH BORUTO IS A BRAT HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HIS FATHER WENT THROUGH" like gosh Naruto isn't even home enough to tell him all the stories from the past and Hinata is really useless as a mother. Naruto was even a biggest brat than Boruto but no let's hate on Boruto for being a kid. And plus this is a kids show. If you went in watching it like it was gonna be similar to war arc from naruto shippuden then you're retarded. Plus if you get through first 40 eps without just quiting all together then you are gonna watch some pretty good arcs may I say. But if you quit really early on you're missing out

I love Anime but man people seems to forget Naruto was almost pretty much the same as Boruto. They are both Loud and energetic. And still people hate on Boruto more.

From what I remember when I was still watching is that the show or the story never progressed ,in Naruto we had arcs after arcs that progressed the story but I felt with Boruto the show just goes back to basic 1 after an arc is over which has to do with the anime being ahead of the manga so you're going to get more fillers or "anime canon" than manga canon episodes. From what I can see is that 60% ( https://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/boruto-naruto-next-generations-manga-canon ) of those are fillers and I hate fillers because the stories are written by writers at Studio Pierrott who are going to give you the worst fillers out there because they are mediocre writers and on top of that they can't write the way they want without ruining the story completely.(check out gintama explains fillers on youtube) Fans always say "the anime is getting good" but it never is because it has to go back to basic 1 until they have enough material to adapt the manga chapters. The Boruto anime would have been better/less hated if it was seasonal I believe.

Not only are the characters annoying and unlikable, the quality of the show is actual dog shit. The shitty animations and ugly art schemes? Y'all watched that and actually like it? Seven Deadly Sins 3 quality is better than this. And, it's boring as hell

Thou the issues about him not knowing Naruto's pain and stuff is old history. I'm pretty sure u r not upto date with this franchise if u r digging up old stuff like that. Also this is not even a mediocre action shounen anime dun compare it to Naruto lol. The arcs are really below average and boring. Character development is close to none. Rather they ruined a lot of good characters from Naruto in Boruto. A good example would be Shino. And plus this is a kids show. If you went in watching it like it was gonna be similar to war arc from naruto shippuden then you're retarded. Plus if you get through first 40 eps without just quiting all together then you are gonna watch some pretty good arcs may I say. Maybe because they compare it a lot to Naruto anime. I always put on-hold this anime because people always saying it's bad and the score is very low too. I finally watch Boruto because I keep on seeing clips on it on FB and I want to see more especially seeing my childhood anime characters who got their own family lol I love to watch anime with family involve because most anime don't have that xD and it's Naruto! I like the characters Sarada, Mitsuki, Himawari, Shikadai, Inojin and Boruto. The main characters are not annoying, yeah.. Boruto is spoiled but it's understandable because he's a kid who wants parents attention. I'm not some other people who kept on hating about it lol overall I enjoy the show so I think it deserves 7/10.

The Boruto anime is both a bad anime and a bad adaptation stemming entirely from greed. Cost cutting and the uncontrollable desire to meechandise caused this wreck to be released 5 years ewarlier thsn it should have been. The lack of funding really shows in how basic the design of all the characters are. None of them have any complex shapes in their design and their basically colour by numbers. The filler arcs are never ending and poorly written. They're written for a much younger demohraphic than the original naruto and even the boruto manga are targeted at and they actively contradict the character development set up in the manga arcs that have actually made it into the anime. Boruto is supposed to start getting his shit together after thr Chunin ecam arc but 100 episodes later he is still acting up. He's also meant to be smart but in the anime he has the thought process of a 6 year old and for some reason everyone treats him like some Messiah figure. It's always about he shows some older character the error or their ways and he never learns a damn thing. And the most insulting part of the show is the way it treats its inherited cast. Naruto and his classmates didn't go through all that character development in the original series to become the but of the joke in some shitty filler arc. They've replaced them all with shitty knock offs but inst ewad of actually giving us a reason tk care about the new cast they just ruin the legacy of the old cast. I can't seriously watch this show anymore because of how much the writing makes me want to walk into traffic. I just set it playing for noise amd go do chores, and i dont understand Japanese. The only reason I'm still around is for the good fight that comes around ever 30 episodes or so and the hope that one day we will actually get to watch some Boruto and not this garbage. So there, that's why people, and especially fans of thw original, hate this show. You can like it if you want but don't ever expect many people to agree with you. Rant over. I felt like i was having an aneurysm while I was writing this.

I honestly don’t give a frick about this excuse of a sequel. I was already pissed at how Naruto ended (stupid Kaguya), and this Boruto crap just poured salt over that wound. Everything about this, whether it be the terrible character design, lack of a story, or lacklustre action, everything about this is trash. Wish it never existed, and same goes for the manga.

The writer told that the story will start lighter in tone and gradually get darker over time. If you regard boruto to be kids show then Naruto will also be same. I can think of many reasons why people hate on boruto. Many people hate boruto because there is lack of main plot or there is no clear direction the show is headed to . It's main cause is 'manga being monthly' so they add lot of anime cannon stuff which prevents them from catching up to the manga. But it also means the plot will barely progress. At this point it has become a trend to hate on boruto. People who hasn't even watched boruto will say it's trash because they were told by some anime youtuber or their friends. They will not watch the show but they still shit on the anime .Even if they decide to watch the show they will already have decided to hate on boruto and nitpick even the smallest of details to justify their decision. That's just how human psychology works for most people. Though there are also people who might change their opinion. There is also small but noticeable bunch of people who hate boruto because Naruto is not the main character anymore. They cannot accept the fact that Naruto will not have plot armour anymore and will eventually get his ass kicked. So they will say old gen is nerfed (which is true to some extent) and call it bad writing and hate on the series. I am not implying that boruto is a perfect show but it is not bad as it is made out to be. Most of the times it receives lot of unfair criticism and blind hate. Honestly I prefer boruto as main character than Naruto. I think he is one of good shounen protagonist in recent times.But overall I like Naruto series more. But my opinion might change depending on how the series progresses.

I binged around 133 episodes of the show and thought it was passable. However, having watched it weekly since then, I have noticed that the writing is actually garbage and many of the arcs are lackluster and mediocre as hell. I guess binging the show made it easier to digest the sewage that reeks each time I watch a new episode now. It would've been so cool to see a spoiled kid like Boruto lose everything and have to grow up experiencing loss and pain, but all this show wants to do is make Boruto do some bs tasks here and there to extend the show. This show had so much potential, but they keep squandering it and it is painful to see.

Bad characters mediocre pacing isnt any storyline cuz of the fillers weird art even though studio perriot work more on boruto than bc and having only 20 good eps out of 136(till where i watched it) doesnt make it good The manga is very good but we are talking about the anime which is just straight bad even if u look at the facts and not my opinion. i personslly just rate on enjoyment so thats why i wrote my opinion I do agree with you to some extent . The writing in the anime is really inconsistent and boring.But I think the one thing that anime did better is to provide more depth to side character like mitsuki. They are expanding on Kara in latest episodes which is in my opinion a good decision if done right. So I don't necessarily think it is trash but it is not good either. Honestly anime can do lot more justice to fight scenes then manga. At the end of the day it's really just personal preference.

One of the main reasons for me, is how insubstantial so many of the canon episodes are. So many of them may as well be filler, as they pretty much play it just as safe when it comes to the payoffs, and introduce many trivial, forgettable characters, as well as plot points that mean pretty much nothing outside of the arc. As a result, the series feels quite stagnant, as there hasn't been much real progress made. This is likely because they hardly adapt the manga canon stuff, which I'm sure does feel substantial to the series, and not a dull excuse for canon.

Okay so my biggest gripe with Boruto IS NOT Boruto itself but rather what Naruto's sequel should've been. First, we have NEVER, and even in Boruto, have not experienced Naruto's journey as an adult. We as the audience watch him grow from a kid to a teen, and after Shippuden we get nothing. A squeal to Naruto SHOULD BE Naruto. His life journey is not over. First, Kakashi (or I believe it was Sasuke) hinted that even though the world is at peace, there are other parts of the world that still tinder on the trail of hate. Furthermore, it was confirmed by Sasuke that there is a world outside of the Ninja World. Continents and countries that are not mapped. THIS IS GOLD WRITING THAT WAS NOT UTILIZED OR EVEN USED. I would've LOVE to see a story about adult Naruto as Hokage dealing with politics and while Sasuke traveling around the world, I would've LOVE to see what Hokage Kakashi had missions for adult Naruto and Sasuke. I understand Boruto is no longer about Naruto BUT NOBODY ASKED to see a story of Naruto's son. Shonen Jump really fumbled the bag here and lost out on so much potential. Now in regards to Boruto. I'm pretty much going have to say Attackonfiller nailed it. Boruto is just a huge mess that deserves it's own essay analysis. Everything is a massive downgrade from Naruto / Shippuden that it's downright deserving the hate that it gets.

I would've loved a short anime or some movies about what happens after the naruto anime but a whole long anime would be meaningless because most of the characters have realized their dreams, the great nations are finally united in peace and naruto is the hokage and the strongest shinobi. Continuing the story would just ruin it and it will take the Dragon ball route where every time an overpowered villain comes out of nowhere and the hero gets a new power up to fiht him while the rest of the cast become totally useless The Boruto series was a reset and it went back to the basics. It didn't raise the power scaling level and it provided fighs with a big variety (it can go from academy kids and genin fighting to a clash of "gods" ) so i think that boruto was a good idea but maybe it could've been executed better. Btw naruto still has a big role in boruto . In the manga he is even more relevant than the other members of boruto's team !
