If It Is, Why Is The Dsmp Fandom On Your DNI List? - Toyhouse

(to those who would, please dont block me over this immediately, read through what i have to say. im just confused and i dont want to deal with drama over a harmless forum post.)

im not apart of the dream smp fandom, ive just always been curious as to why the dsmp fandom is so common on "do not interact" lists. (where the person would be blocked/disallowed from visiting a profile)

i know someone in the fandom and they get upset when they cant interact with people due to it. (to paraphrase their words, they clarified they didnt see themselves being compared to the fans doing illegal/hateful things in the fandom just because they share an interest as fair) after talking to them about it for a bit i couldnt help but agree with them.

to those with the dsmp on their blacklist or dni list, why is every fan blocked from following you?

i mean no harm by asking! i just see the "okay" parts of the dsmp fandom to be generally unharmful so im just, confused, i guess? ofc im only referring to the fans that arent being rude or doing anything illegal, i totally understand people like MAPs and ab/sers being on dni lists

EDIT (KINDA AN ADDENDUM): i didnt expect the thread to be this active so ill be putting this message here instead of in the thread itself. thank you for all of the input so far, i understand everyones viewpoints and agree with most of them honestly. ive never ran into any bad experiences with people in the fandom due to my limited publicity here and lack of social media presence elsewhere so all of the stories were also very eye-opening. my friend made it sound like the icky people in the fandom and the creators themselves werent that bad, but from what ive looked into, theyre just as blind to it all i was lmao. ill be unsubscribing from this thread to keep my notifications clean but feel free to still talk about your experiences if you still have any to share, i just wont be able to view them as often. stay safe everyone.
