This page covers the Desert Iguana location in RDR2, and how to get a Perfect Iguana Skin. The Desert Iguana is a moderately sized animal in Red Dead Redemption 2. You'll most likely find one in the desert, and even swimming. You'll need a Perfect Iguana Skin for part of the Materials Satchel.

"The Desert Iguana is native to New Austin. Generally considered herbivores, eating perennial plants, fruit and occasionally insects, iguanas can easily be killed with a Varmint Rifle. Their herptile meat is edible, and their skin can be used for crafting."

You can specifically find the Desert Iguana along the banks of the San Luis River, southwest of Plainview on the western map. This is the map of the original Red Dead Redemption.

How Kill the Iguana in Red Dead 2 for a Perfect Iguana Skin

To get a perfect Iguana Skin, you'll have to find a Perfect Iguana and use the right weapons to kill it.

Iguanas are lizards that roam around grass and take swims in the San Luis River. Try to approach from a distance to find a pristine Iguana. Use the Varmint Rifle to get a perfect kill.
