Importing with 2D AutoCAD file
“- [Instructor] Hi everyone, in this chapter we will work with AutoCAD files in Fusion 360. In the course of Kacie Hultgren, which is 3D Printing a Scale Model with AutoCAD, I downloaded a 2D drawing from this course and it's included in our exercise files named as 1-2.dwg, in addition, there are two ways to import an AutoCAD file into Fusion 360. One is importing it in our web browser, here I have A360 opened, specifically AutoCAD-to-Fusion360 project folder. Let's grab the folder to where our exercise files were downloaded, left clicking 1-2.dwg, drag and drop, and release. So file uploading, file fully uploaded, so notice the AutoCAD drawing icon. Let's head back to Fusion 360, let's head up and expand our data panel, and locate your project folder. So here, we can now see the AutoCAD drawing imported. Now to import this to Fusion 360, we first have to transform this into a Fusion design. And to do that, head over to your AutoCAD file, right click and select Create Fusion Design…
