Inside Britney Spears’s vast new Los Angeles home — bought the day after her wedding to Sam AsghariBritney and Sam Asghari’s enormous new home has a room dedicated entirely to gift-wrapping.

Britney Spears has bought an $11,800,000 (£9,740,900) mansion in Los Angeles — the day after her wedding to Sam Asghari.

The singer’s new home in Calabasas is a sprawling 11,800 square feet, with seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and 1.6 acres of land.

It is situated within a double-gated community called The Estates of the Oaks, meaning that, in addition to two sets of gates, the property is also protected by 24-hour security.

Built in 2009, the spectacular home has a 10-seat home cinema with surround sound, wine cellar, mosaic-tiled pool, walk-in safe, gym, game room and a mahogany lounge with a wet bar. There is even a room dedicated exclusively to gift-wrapping, and a designated pet bath.

Inside, the foyer has a ceiling the height of two stacked double-decker buses, over 10 metres high, and is clad in Cantera stone.

The house features wide, arched hallways with custom-made chandeliers, imported mosaic tiles and hand-carved woodwork.

In the kitchen alone, there is a wraparound breakfast bar, cook’s preparation area, butler’s pantry and walk-in dry storage.

Outside, the pop star has a 55ft heated pool and spa, with cascading waterfalls and a waterslide. There are ample provisions for outdoor dining, with a barbecue pavilion, fully-equipped garden kitchen and 2,000 square foot patio for the newlyweds to entertain their guests.

Longer term visitors can stay in the detached one-bedroom guest house, which has its own kitchen.

Last sold in 2012, the enormous house previously belonged to car dealer Bill Slevin. Spears bought the property on June 10– the day after she married model and actor Asghari at her home at nearby Thousand Oaks.

The couple married seven months after Spears was freed from a controversial 13-year conservatorship, in which her father, Jamie Spears, had control over most aspects of her life.

During a court hearing in 2021, Spears said that the conservatorship had prevented her from remarrying or having a baby.

Asghari proposed to Spears in September 2021, two months before the conservatorship was finally brought to an end. They are expecting a child together.

Now, as well as having married Asghari, Spears has regained control of her own estate, which is estimated to be worth $60 million (£49,710,000).

In recent years, Spears has sold a number of her other properties, including her Beverly Hills mansion for US$4.25 million in 2012 – at a loss of $2.5 million – and her second property in Thousand Oaks in 2017, for almost $2 million less than its initial asking price.
