Mercedes boss hopes ‘robbed’ Lewis Hamilton will continue racing

Over the last few weeks, questions have arisen about Lewis Hamilton's intentions within the F1 scene going forward. He has steered clear of extensive conversation following his shock Abu Dhabi defeat to Max Verstappen, and officials have since suggested the sport should "move on" from the dramatic events of 2021. Regardless of his intentions for the new season, Hamilton has built an undeniable legacy, both on and off the track.

When not racing, the driver - who is worth an estimated $300 million (£221 million) - spends his time jetting around the world.

His considerable wealth has allowed him to plant roots in several countries.

But he spends much of his time in Monte Carlo, a region in Monaco famous for hosting the annual Monaco Grand Prix.

As well as his stunning Monaco home, he also has luxurious properties in London and New York.

Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is the place Hamilton likes to "call home", and he shares his love of the region with several other drivers.

But as with many other aspects of his life, he has remained tight-lipped about his property interests there.

Reports have previously placed him in Fontvieille, a 50-year-old sea-facing ward famous for lavish homes.

In 2007, he was considering a 2,000 square foot duplex fitted with four bedrooms and looking out on the Seaside Plaza, according to The Sun.

London

Hamilton's UK home is not in his native Stevenage, but an exclusive London enclave.

In 2017, the Daily Mail reported that the millionaire, then 32, had snapped up a home in Kensington.

The west London neighbourhood is famous for having some of the most expensive homes in the capital, and Hamilton snatched up one for £18 million.

Christopher Bailey, chief designer for fashion house Burberry, had previously lived in the property with his actor husband, Simon Woods.

The Mercedes star acquired six bedrooms, four reception rooms and two bathrooms.

He also has a kitchen and family room that opens out to a 200ft garden.

The average six-bedroom house price in Kensington, according to Foxtons estate agents, is currently £5,812,500.

Hamilton also has property across the Atlantic, investing more than once on the east coast.

He currently owns a penthouse in Manhattan, New York, near some other famous faces.

The penthouse is part of a project part-owned by NFL legend Tom Brady.

For £32 million, he received a 6,547 square foot home overlooking the Hudson River, complete with a library, wine seller, swimming pool and impressive outdoor space.

The driver once owned another, more expensive £34 million property in Tribeca that he listed in 2017.
