The iPhone 11 will soon be making its way to the old smartphone graveyard according to LeaksApplePro (via iDropNews). With the Apple iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max likely turning up in September, the company’s store would become too bloated if older iPhones were allowed to reside there. So, logically speaking, it will be the iPhone 11 that will make way for the iPhone 14.

In addition to the retirement of the iPhone 11, the same source reckons there will be some pricing movement over the iPhone 12 series. The iPhone 12 could go from US$699 to US$599 to make it a sweeter deal as a potential entry-level device into Apple’s ecosystem, while the iPhone 12 mini may see its price tag shrink to US$499. But the 2022 Apple iPhone SE will still be heavily pushed to store-visiting customers to support and maintain its questionable viability.

Last but not least, the iPhone 13 range will simply shuffle down a notch in the iPhone pecking order. The series has been immensely successful, both critically and commercially, with an estimated 40 million units shipping in just the holiday 2021 period alone. The Apple iPhone 13 mini will also apparently remain available, although there is the possibility of a US$100 price reduction across the range to further dilute options for future iPhone buyers.
