Completing the Trial of The Sword in Zelda Breath of The Wild: Master Trials DLC upgrades the Master Sword. It increases its damage output and durability. Is Master Sword unbreakable after completing Trial of The Sword?

The short answer is: No. It increases the sword’s durability considerably, but does not make it unbreakable. It will still need to recharge after a while, it’ll just take longer to deplete. Players report killing two Lynels using only the sword before it needed to recharge. If you’re going to fight regular enemies with it, you’ll get at least 15 minutes of continuous usage before the it is drained. The cooldown still takes ten minutes.

How to upgrade Master Sword damage to 60

The raise the damage output to 60, you’ll need to finish the entire Trial of the Sword. However, you’ll get incremental upgrades between stages. When you finish the begginer trials, you’ll get 10 more damage. The same goes for the middle trials. This means you don’t have to aim for full completion right away – your sword will be upgraded even if you finish only the easiest part of the trial.

Does Master Sword glow permanently after beating the trial?

Yes. Once you’ve beaten the final trials, the sword will get a blue glow that doesn’t wear off. It will look just like in the picture above.

Although the sword doesn’t become unbreakable, the upgrade is more than welcome. The increased attack power is extremely useful, especially in master mode, and the durability bump is nothing to scoff at. Plus, the trial itself is a great challenge, fun and difficult at the same time.

      That’s the Fierce Deity Armor. It comes from the Majora’s Mask amiibo which was a Best Buy exclusive but it is possible to get your hands on the gear through other means
