When Star Wars Battlefront 3 happens, it is likely to release in 2024, 2025, or even later. Since it appears that EA and DICE are not currently working on any new games in the series currently in development. 

But, a new Star Wars shooter developed with Titanfall and Apex Legends creator Respawn could be out before Star Wars Battlefront 3.

The most recent rumor suggests that Battlefront 3 has not entered production since EA has reportedly decided not to go ahead with the project, opting instead to concentrate upon its very own Battlefield franchise. 

The alternative is that EA will rely heavily on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order developer Respawn to handle the entire range of Star Wars titles. And the new FPS will likely focus on single-player, story mode instead of multiplayer.

Is there a Star Wars Battlefront 3 Switch, PS4, and Xbox One?

When Star Wars Battlefront 3 happens, likely, it won’t be available for Switch, PS4, or Xbox One. As it will likely be many some time away, and current-gen consoles are more common.

In the case of Nintendo Switch specifically, there are no Star Wars Battlefront games yet have been released on Switch. Therefore, it is likely to eliminate Nintendo’s currently available console. 

But, when Battlefront 3 happens, Nintendo could likely have a brand new console. And the game could release on Nintendo Switch instead.
