Is "This Is Us" on tonight? NO. NBC's family drama has officially left the airwaves, which means fans have seen the last of the Pearsons. (Deep breaths.) The highly anticipated series finale aired Tuesday, May 24, 2022 and focused on the extended Pearson clan attending Rebecca's funeral. This was the sixth and final season of "This Is Us," which has won four Emmys through the years for lead actor Sterling K. Brown (2017) and guest stars Gerald McRaney (2017) and Ron Cephas Jones (2018 and '20). In addition, "This Is Us" is the last show among the Big Four networks (NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox) to be nominated for the Best Drama Series Emmy.

"This Is Us" tells the story of the Pearson family across multiple generations via flashbacks, present-day stories and flash-forwards. Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) are the parents of the "Big Three" triplets, aka Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). Years after Jack's death, Rebecca starts to date again, eventually marrying family friend Miguel (Jon Huertas). In the final season, Kevin deals with being a single father and starring on a reboot of "The Manny," Kate struggles with divorcing her husband Toby (Chris Sullivan), and Randall and Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) learn their daughter Deja (Lyric Ross) wants to move to Boston to be with her boyfriend Malik (Asante Blackk).

Creator Fogelman announced years ago that Season 6 would be the final chapter of the award-winning TV series, saying he wanted it to go out on his own terms. The sixth season premiered on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and aired a total of 18 episodes, the same number as each of the first four seasons. The only exception was Season 5, which produced just 16 episodes due to delays brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
