Anything I can do to calm the itching until I go to the doctor? My butt has been itchy throughout my pregnancy with all the stretch marks but lately my butt crack is unbearably itchyOriginal poster's comments (3)

Vespir Posted 11-16-16Yeast! I've had this same issue. You'll get a fissure (lil crack in the skin) in your crack! It can be quite painful. Keep the area clean and apply monistat cream. It's an antifungal. After the first dab of ointment you'll feel much better the next morning. Since us mommas (me especially) have more than likely gained some extra cushion in your bummy area, your cheeks are always pressing together. It's the perfect breeding ground for yeast. Warm and moist! Monistat cream is your cure all. Yeast can appear in any warm moist spot, not just your hoo-haw!See all replies (1)
sasjkp516 Posted 11-16-16I'd try some A&D diaper rash cream or ointment. Maybe even an antifungal cream if it's been getting sweaty lately as it could be a yeast infection starting. You may want to check with your doctor first, though, on the antifungal cream. Advertisement | page continues below

boudreaux's butt paste
Its a diaper rash cream, I use it for chaffing and such. Works great.
My ass and thighs are itchy all the time. I think its from the skin stretching. Also try to keep it as dry as possible. Especially if you have a bigger butt the crack can tend to stay moist, which will cause cracking and even yeast infections.
ETA: even if its a yeast infection Boudreax will get rid of it. BTDT lol

My butt and thighs are really itchy too. Ive also have very dry skin and I think my butt crack was just really dry because I kept using vaseline daily because I dont have anything else right now & it helped alot

I keep boudreaux's butt paste on hand for this kind of shit lol. I also have 5 kids and they use it for chaffing and rashes too. DH actually used it on his feet for a while. It helped get rid of a foot fungus he has had for like 20 freaking years, that nothing else helped with.
