Ivarstead is a small village located on the eastern side of The Throat of the World.
Travelers pass through Ivarstead on their way to High Hrothgar, the sanctuary of the Graybeards, at the mountain's summit. The village consists of only four buildings: an inn, two houses, and a lumber mill. Just behind one of the houses is a Nordic catacomb, Shroud Hearth Barrow.
