Music Career

In his early days, Jadakiss was mentored by Notorious B.I.G., who mentioned the upcoming rap group The Lox in his song “Last Day.” He formed the hip-hop trio The Lox, and soon after, Mary J. Blige helped them sign with P. Diddy’s label, Bad Boy Records. While signed to the record label, they released “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa” as a tribute to the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.
