Jake, or also known as Jake the Dog is the second main character of the TV show and video game Adventure Time. He is Finn's adoptive brother, best friend and magical partner in crime! Jake was born with special powers, enabling him to stretch his body in various ways. He is the son of Finn's adoptive parents Joshua and Margaret and has a brother named Jermaine. He is currently in a relationship with Lady Rainicorn.

Jake is known to be 28 years old in dog years, yet it is unknown how many human years this may be. He is yellow in color and resembles a traditional English Bulldog with large eyes. Jake has special Stretchy Powers that allow him to contort his body into all sorts of shapes and forms. Jake does not wear any clothing, but is known to own a pair of invisible spider pants that he wears on occasion.

Jake possesses Stretchy Powers which enable him to stretch and manipulate his body to change size, form shapes and so on. One of his most useful abilities is his Key Hand ability, allowing him to unlock doors around the Land of Ooo. Jake does own a sword, shield and an axe but rarely wields these weapons during battle. He also has a developed sense of smell, as dogs innately do, allowing him to smell objects from far distances.

Jake is a laid-back dog, relying heavily on his powers (or Finn) to get him out of any dangerous situations. He often demonstrates his sense of humor at serious times, sometimes singing songs to cheer Finn up if he is feeling down. Jake is always willing to give advice about a situation, but his suggestions are often inconsistent and nonsensical.
