Jake Franklin (born: May 1, 1992 (1992-05-01) [age 33]), better known online as Jake the Viking or simply Viking, is a Danish-born[1] American challenge and vlogging YouTuber mainly known for his appearances on the MrBeast YouTube channel, as he is a good friend of Jimmy Donaldson. He got his name after his hair and beard made him constantly look like the old-time explorer. He initially appeared in 2018 in the video Do Water Repellent Shoes Actually Work?.

On April 6, 2020, Jake announced that he left MrBeast and his group of YouTubers. He stated that he left only due to the restrictions of free time and that there is "no bad blood” between them. He has been a part of the e-sports organization Misfits Gaming after leaving MrBeast on June 23, 2021.[2] However, on July 27, 2024, Jake posted on X saying that he had actually been fired.[3]

The reason he's called "Jake the Viking" is because he was born in Denmark therefore his name is Viking.[1]
He also grew out a beard to complete this Viking look.
