James Byron Dean was born in Marion, Indiana, United States, on February 8, 1931, was an American actor. Young James Dean began acting in UCLA production of "Macbeth" (1950) in role as Malcolm. He began his career on television in a Pepsi Cola commercial. He got his television acting debut in Family Theater (1951) in episode "Hill Number One: A Story of Faith and Inspiration", in role as John the Apostle. He landed his big screen debut in drama film Fixed Bayonets! (1951) in uncredited role as Doggie. Dean breakthrough performance came as Caleb Trask in drama romance film East of Eden (1955). He made his Broadway debut in a play "See the Jaguar" (1952) in role as Wally Wilkins, at Cort Theatre.
