James Maslow is an American actor, pop singer, band member, songwriter, and YouTube personality. He was much acclaimed for his acting in the role of James Diamond in ‘Big Time Rush’ television series. This television programme aired on Nickelodeon, is one of the longest running live-action series (2009-2013). James played the role of a handsome boy in the group who wants to get out of Minnesota and become a famous pop singer in California and what he experiences to establish a foothold in Hollywood as a member of the band. He also played the role of Kevin Mohr in a TV series titled ‘Sequestered’ which was aired online by streaming video service ‘Crackle’. James competed with professional Latin dancing partner, Peta Murgatroyd, in the 18th season of ‘Dancing with the stars’ where he was placed as one of the top four participants. He is one of the lead vocalists of the teen-pop and R&B boy-band namedBTR (Big Time Rush) who have released three successful studio albums.

Maslow’s father, Mike Maslow, is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent and his mother, Cathy Burge, belongs to Scots-Irish (Northern Irish), Swiss-German, Irish, German and English ancestry.
