Inner lid. the metal rim that touches the cardboard of the cannister stays - you want the inner rim. Use a butter knife. I advise you to pour the powder down the drain though. Put the edge of the knife where you have been putting your finger nails and press down on the handle. You will have to do this in multiple spots. Kyle S. Do you? | Report Never ,...Hardly ever try to remove with your fingers. Use a case knife, end of a spoon,screw driver, can opener or any thing that can exert some form of leverage.
