Issa[1] (born: November 23, 2004 (2004-11-23) [age 21]),[2] better known online as JellyBean (also known as BeanNotHere), is an American YouTuber, VTuber known for making YouTube Shorts about Minecraft and Streaming.

Personal life

Bean was born on November 23, 2004 in the United States. They are of hispanic/Mexican descent.[3][4] You can check their boundaries here. They are 5'1 tall.[5] They graduated high school on May 12, 2022.[6] Afterwards, they came out as non-binary on June 1 of that year (during Pride Month) and started using they/them pronouns.[7][8] They also identify as pansexual.

On March 2022, they did an eye reveal on their now banned TikTok account.

Content

They created their channel on October 8, 2020, and uploaded their first video on February 8, 2021. They uploaded their first YouTube Short on October 21, 2021, titled "Mexican Dream in Minecraft." On September 15, 2021, them, along with Cdotkom, CourseCorrected, and Jpegi, applied for MCC Rising. However, they did not get into MCC Rising.

Controversies

Comment spamming

In 2021, they made a trend in which every fan of theirs comments "it's not a mistake, ✨IT'S A MASTERPIECE✨" on every TikTok and YouTube Shorts that they see. Many other YouTubers such as Twi Shorts and Beesechurger 73 also participated in the trend.

Soon after, the trend among comment chains became controversial, due to it having caused excessive spamming through many TikTokers, YouTubers, and streamers. They later apologized for all the spam comments and asked their fans to stop spamming the comments to other YouTubers and streamers.[9][10]

As of now, the drama is still going on as their fans are still attacking multiple YouTubers who dislike the comment trend. They along with most of their fans are widely considered to be hated among the YouTube community, to the point where The Beak even infiltrated their Discord server.[11]

Harrassment from Meowbahh

After JellyBean noticed Meowbahh gaining attention from the Minecraft Shorts Community, JellyBean asked in their twitter, "Who's Meowbah?". JellyBean got some replies from the crowd and later responded, "I regret asking", and then blocked Meowbahh on Twitter.[12]

According to Jadyn in the video "JellyBean Was Banned...", when JellyBean started getting hate, they privated their TikTok account. On April 1, 2022, they unprivated their account, but on the same day, their TikTok account was terminated for unknown reasons. When they found out, they tweeted out that it was a "great April fools prank".[13] However, TikTok didn't respond to the tweet and also on the same day, Meowbahh responded by begging JellyBean to message them and get JellyBean unbanned from the platform.

Meowbahh mentioned at the end of the tweet talking about how they want people to get them unbanned from TikTok, they then went on to make another tweet calling JellyBean multiple slurs.

A lot of people responded to JellyBean. According to a user named @RealFoxy02016, they said "I think a bunch of the haters decided to spam report you, which really sucks, but they'll likely give you your account back".[14] JellyBean made another tweet saying: "guys #freejellybean she has no reason to get banned off tiktok".[15]

The tweet never took off, and they are still banned on TikTok as of this day. Jadyn then went on to point out, that there is no reason for them to be banned in the first place as their account contains nothing but tame content regarding Minecraft and it doesn't violate the TikTok Terms of Service.[16] She then went on to compare JellyBean to Meowbahh as they weren't banned yet despite saying slurs to JellyBean and on some of their videos. Jadyn's video received mixed to positive reception as some people grew aware about JellyBean being harassed.
