Farley met Mathews while filming season 1 of Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights in summer 2009, but the pair did not start dating until the following year. They later welcomed daughter Meilani in 2014 and son Greyson in 2016. Three years after the twosome tied the knot, Farley filed for divorce from Rogers in September 2018.

Summer 2009 

Farley met Mathews while out in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, with her Jersey Shore costars during season 1 of the show. Nothing happened between the pair, however, because the MTV star was still dating then-boyfriend Tom Lippolis.

Summer 2010 

During a season 3 episode of Jersey Shore, which was filmed in the summer of 2010, Farley reconnected with Rogers and the pair quickly fell for each other.

May 2011 

Farley revealed in April 2018 that she and Mathews suffered a miscarriage weeks before she started filming season 4 of Jersey Shore overseas in May 2011. “Three to four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed and me and Roger actually lost a baby … not a lot of people know,” Farley admitted during a season 1 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. “They put me on medication because of it because I couldn’t handle life. The medication – it was like Xanax, it would take me down. The downers would make me so groggy, then I would start taking uppers. I segued right into Italy. I was a f—king mess.”

February 2012

The reality TV personality gushed about Mathews exclusively to Us Weekly in February 2012. "We thank Jersey Shore for helping us find them because I wouldn't have been with Roger,” she told Us, referring to Mathews and costar Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi’s now-husband Jionni LaValle."We hold our relationships close to us and that's why they're so successful."

September 2012

Mathews popped the question during a skydiving session with a pink and white engagement ring in September 2012.

July 2014

Farley gave birth to the couple’s first child, a baby girl named Meilani, on July 13, 2014. ”Jenni and Roger are so excited to welcome the newest guidette Meilani Alexandra Mathews to the world weighing 7lbs and 13 ounces," her rep told Us at the time. "Meilani and her parents are doing great and are happy and healthy. Meilani is already looking to trade her baby bottle for barbells.”

October 2015 

The duo wed in front of family and friends in New Jersey in October 2015. ”This has been one of the greatest days in my life!" Farley told Us exclusively at the time. "I'm so happy to share this with our family and friends."

May 2016 

Farley and Mathews welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Greyson, on May 5, 2015. “Baby Mathews made an early appearance today at 6:03 p.m. weighing 7 pounds and 2 ounces,” her rep told Us in a statement at the time. “He is healthy and Roger and Jenni couldn't be happier.”

September 2018 

Us confirmed in September 2018 that Farley filed for divorce from Mathews after nearly three years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Mathews spoke out about his wife’s filing in an Instagram video at the time, noting that the duo were in therapy together. “My wife filed for divorce, it’s true. I’m just gonna keep it simple. I don’t blame her. There’s no cheating or any dumb s–t, any juicy details,” he said. “She just grew tired of the repetitive pattern that we fell into … again, I’m not gonna get into detail but it was a repetitive pattern and not a good one. I’m not done fighting, I’m gonna win my wife back. I’m gonna win her affection back, I’m gonna win her love back. I have no intention of being a single dad. We’re in counseling so there is hope. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.”

October 2018

A month after Farley filed for divorce, she and Mathews celebrated their third wedding anniversary. “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” he captioned a photo of the pair at dinner in October 2018. The twosome also enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage ride.

November 2018

Mathews told Us exclusively in November 2018 that the pair are “working on things.”




“We spent eight years together so … I feel like there’s nothing that’s not fixable in our situation,” he explained to Us at the DreamWorks Trolls the Experience in New York City, which he attended with Farley and their two kids.

November 2018

Farley confirmed in November 2018 that she and Mathews’ son, who was 2 years old at the time, had been diagnosed with autism. “Grey was recently diagnosed with autism. He’s also been in early intervention for over 6 months now and doing amazing 💙,” she wrote on Instagram after the news broke. “Grey is and will always be my little prince.”

Mathews also seemingly acknowledged his son’s diagnosis on the social media platform. “We all have adversities in our lives to over come but we could not do it without the love and support of those we care about the most,” he wrote in November 2018. “Gonna do my best to have a positive day today. I hope you do as well. It’s all part of the journey. There will be obstacles.”

December 2018

Mathews claimed on Instagram in December 2018 that police escorted him out of the family’s house after Farley filed a temporary order of protection against him. “My wife was screaming in my daughter’s face, ’Your father’s a piece of s—t. He’s out of here. He’s out of here. I’m sorry I ever had children with him,’” he alleged.“I’m not allowed to be there for my children anymore because somebody else is so hate-filled that they would do that to the father of their children, to a great father to their children,” the truck driver said in another upload. “It’s sad, man. It’s just sad.”A statement posted on Farley’s Instagram page the same morning claimed the reality star was acting in her and her children’s best interest. “Any statements and social media posts depicting anything to the contrary are entirely false, misleading, and intentionally designed to cast Jenni in a negative light,” the message read.

December 2018

Fellow MTV star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi got involved in the drama in order to defend her best friend when she posted security footage taken from inside the estranged couple's home on December 14. “I don’t want to do that to him. He should be allowed to see [the kids],” an emotional Farley could be heard telling officers in the clip. “He’s not a bad dad.” Mathews later called out Polizzi by replying to a fan on Instagram. “Nicole has never spent a single night in our home in 8 years," he wrote. "You will see the truth come out in the end.”

December 2018

Shortly after Farley filed the restraining order against Mathews, he was reunited with the couple's 2-year-old son, Greyson. "Heart half full," the truck driver captioned a picture of himself and the toddler. A source later told Us Weekly exclusively that the Jersey Shore star's intentions were never to take the kids away from her estranged husband. "Jenni would never take her kids from Roger. The judge said Roger wasn’t allowed to see the kids and so Jenni went through extreme measures Friday to have someone get in front of a judge to make sure Roger could see the kids,” the insider revealed. “Within 24 hours, he was with his son.”

January 2019

The MTV star shared a lengthy blog post in January 2019 that claimed her estranged husband abused her and mistreated their two children. “You are an abuser to the core, Roger Mathews. … You have spit at me. You have pushed me. You have shoved me. You have aggressively thrown me to the ground,” she wrote. “You have prevented me from closing doors to escape having you coming at me. You have belittled and disparaged me. You have threatened me.”

Farley also accused Mathews of blackmailing her, lying to the police about her harming the kids, contacting her exes and bosses to “smear [her] name” and hiding his past arrests from her. In response to the allegations, his rep told Us: “At this time we will not be giving a comment on this matter. Thank you for understanding.”

April 2019

The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star confirmed she is in a relationship with a 24-year-old mystery man amid her divorce. “We’re filming Jersey Shore right now and we nicknamed him ’24,’” she teased during a live taping of the “It’s Happening With Snooki & Joey” podcast. Weeks earlier, Farley went on a date with an unidentified guy, with her rep telling Us: “JWoww has moved on and is happy.” Mathews, meanwhile, reacted to the news in a statement to Us. “He seems like a terrific guy and they seem to really be happy, and I’m very happy for them,” he said of the new romance.
